
Bridal Booking Terms & Conditions
It’s the responsibility of the bride to understand, agree, and accept responsibility for all booking conditions, including all payments due by specified dates. By proceeding to enquire with us and to pay a deposit, you accept that you are entering into a contract. 1. Definitions
The Client: The recipient of the service and name listed on the booking form.
Makeup Artis/Hair Stylistt: Natalie Webb
Hair Stylist: Sadie Yarnold
The Agreement: The contract that exists between the client and the makeup artist for the agreed fee.
The fee: The amount payable by the client to the makeup artist for the services listed above.
The event: Relates in principle to the date whereby the event (i.e the wedding) takes place.
The party: Additional members of the bridal party.
2. Securing the booking of the event
The booking of the event is only reserved once the client has paid a booking fee to the Makeup Artist and/or Hair stylist where applicable.
The non refundable booking fee is £50 per Make-up artist and Hair stylist, this is required to secure the event.
If the client cancels before a trial has taken place, the booking fee will not be refunded.
Arranging a trial without paying the booking fee does not reserve the makeup artist’s services for the event.
3. Payment
Payments can be made via bank transfer, cheques will not be accepted.
The non refundable booking fee paid by the client is taken off of the wedding day fee.
The remaining amount, included travel expenses must be paid via bank transfer no more or no less than 24 hours prior to the wedding date. No services will be carried out until payment is received.
Payment must be made via bank transfer 7 days before the wedding date unless agreed otherwise in writing with the Makeup artist. This will be invoiced to you via email.
The Bride is responsible for all payments regarding Services in this contract.
The Fees for the Services shall be in accordance with the Makeup Artist’s standard price list as per her website and this Contract.
The Makeup Artist shall be entitled to charge the Client for any expenses reasonably incurred by the individuals whom the Makeup Artist engages in connection with the Services. This includes travelling expenses outside of London, hotel costs, subsistence if an overnight stay is needed and any associated expenses, and for the cost of services provided by third parties and required by the Makeup Artist for the performance of the Services, and for the cost of any extra materials required but not described in the Services or booking. These will all be communicated prior.
The Makeup Artist shall be entitled to charge the Client for a second makeup artist, hair stylist or assistant if requested or required at a supplemental charge of £150.00. This will be communicated prior and only charged for large bridal parties.
If the Client fails to make a payment by the due date, then, without limiting the Makeup Artist’s legal remedies, the Makeup Artist reserves the right to cancel the entire booking.
4. Responsibility of the client
The client shall inform the makeup artist of any issues that may affect the use of any equipment or products. This includes but is not limited to sensitivities, allergies and medical conditions. The client must inform their makeup artist of any allergies/sensitivities/skin conditions before any services are carried out. This includes before/during the trial and after if any sensitivities/problems have been found. The makeup artist cannot be held liable for any losses or damage that is incurred due to the client’s failure to inform the artist of any known condition.
The makeup artist reserves the right to refuse service to the client or members the party for, but not limited to, abusive and threatening behaviour.
5. Cancellations
At any point the client can cancel the event by informing the the makeup artist. All changes to a booking, must be made by the bride only. If the client cancels a wedding booking within 30 days notice, there will be no cancellation fees. However any less and the client will have to pay 50% of the agreed fee, not including what has already been paid as a booking fee.
Any cancellation will be liable to loss of deposit. Cancellations must be made in writing via email.
You are required to give a minimum of 2 calendar months notice should you wish to reduce or increase numbers or services booked on your wedding day - After such time the full amount for services cancelled will still be payable by the specified due date.
The Makeup Artist, reserves the right to terminate this contract for any non-compliance of terms. The contract will become void and all deposits given are non-refundable.
Cancellations by the Makeup Artist due to circumstances including, but not limited to, problems rendering the performance of her obligations and where no other suitable alternative can be given will result in a full refund to the Client. No further compensation will be offered. An alternative highly recommended makeup artist might be suggested by the Makeup Artist.
Refunds are issued via the same method of payment.
Although we operate a non-transferable deposit policy, we do understand you may wish to change your wedding date due to certain circumstances, and of course I would still like to be a part of your new date. The Makeup Artist will do everything in her power to make the new date of services possible. If the new date cannot be accommodated, the deposit is liable to be lost.
Any changes to the bookings in relation to the bridal trial, number of clients, times, locations and/or dates shall be notified to the Makeup Artist at least 48 hours in advance of the Event. The Makeup Artist shall not be obliged to accommodate any last minute change requests.
6. Exclusivity
This Contract is entered into between the Bride and the Makeup Artist. No other party member or wedding supplier can correspond with, create terms or cancel for the Bride or act on behalf of the Bride.
The Makeup Artist in this contract retains exclusivity with the Bride and Bridal Party. Natalie and her team shall be the exclusive makeup artist for the Client & the selected members of the Bridal Party, unless otherwise specified.
Any additional Makeup Artist hired, with the permission of Natalie, must not under any circumstances have usage over the work pertaining to Natalie.
Exclusivity is not guaranteed for the whole day of the Event. A second event on the Wedding Date undertaken by the Makeup Artist will not affect the event for which this Contract is for.
7. Photo Release
The client agrees that the makeup artist may use any photography for publicity purposes which include but are not limited to the makeup artist’s website and social media pages.
At your trial, we will need to take photos and videos of you for the purpose of recording the trial look. This is to help us recreate the look accurately on the day. This will also give you a true idea of how your look should translate to your wedding photos & video, in different angles, lighting etc.
These trial photos will be kept confidential, to keep your wedding day look private.
The client agrees that Natalie may use any & all photographs, video, audio & other media that is captured & recorded by Natalie or by any 3rd party hired by the client, specifically photographers & videographers. This will permit Natalie to use such recorded media to be displayed on its website &/or marketing materials, flyers & other advertisement media. The Client agrees to release any & all claims regarding use of his/ her images for such purposes. The Client also agrees to release the name & contact information of the hired 3rd party photographers &/or videographers used for recording any event for which Natalie has been contracted to provide beauty services for.
8. Travel Expenses
The Makeup Artist will travel for free within a 15 mile radius of Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire. A charge of 45p per mile will be added outside of this area.
The client will cover any necessary travel expenses of the makeup artist as agreed at time of booking. This is to include, should it be required, congestion charging and parking charges.
9. Assistants
On some occasions we may need to bring an assistant to help out on your wedding morning and if the bridal party consists of more than 6 makeup applications or hair applications an assistant may be required. This will be an additional charge of £100 added to the total for the day.
10. Timings and Efficiency
To carry out her work efficiently Natalie will need as a minimum of; a table/flat surface to set up on and chair to carry out services. 15 minutes is allotted to set up and be ready in time to start services. If suitable conditions are not provided delays cannot be held responsible if time is lost due to this.
11. Photo Copyright
It's important that we keep on updating our portfolio and social media so please let us know if you do not wish to be photographed or if you aren’t happy for us to use your images for marketing purposes. We are happy to be photographed on your wedding morning however, if an Image is incorporating Natalie or one of her assistants in action, or our hair and/or make-up design is shown in the photo on social media platforms or other advertising platforms please kindly make reference or credit us as the hair and/or makeup artists - thank you.
12. Discounts and Offers
Discounts and special offers are given on a quote for quote basis, and are not guaranteed.
All discounts and special offers are subject to change if the number of services initially booked are reduced or altered and are solely at our discretion.
13. Insurance
Natalie and all of her assistant artists have full public liability insurance to protect both themselves and the client.
14. Delays
In the event that we experience unforeseen delays on the day which are out of our control due to clients being late/not being ready when we need them or by not following our instructions to carry out efficient work, refunds will not be given.
In the event that one or more services are forfeited as a result - no compensation will be offered if we overrun.
If you are aware of factors, which could delay or hinder our journey, please advise us as soon as possible so we can factor this into our route.
No refund or compensation can be offered for delays caused by other wedding vendors, guests, or members of the bridal party arriving late.
If you suspect any member of your bridal party may pose as a challenge in any way, they are encouraged to have a trial to avoid potential delays on the day.
15.Privacy
In accordance with Data Protection Laws, all Client data is kept securely and destroyed 6 months after the event.
Natalie will never pass the Client's data to a third party in any circumstances.
Neither party shall use the other party’s confidential information for any purpose other than to perform its obligations under the booking.
16.Communication
All communication should take place in writing via email.
Due to the private nature of our business, our contract and communication is solely with you, the bride, regardless of who is paying our fee or any third parties (Groom, Parents & wedding planner, etc) acting on your behalf. We will only discuss the details of the booking with the bride.
For your reference the most efficient way to discuss all the important elements of your booking is via email , due to the high volume of messages we receive across multiple media channels. Although we love to connect with you on social media and share images via these platforms, messages can get confused or missed if across social media, WhatsApp, phone, text, therefore we politely ask you to ensure that any correspondents relating to your booking be sent via email, to reduce the risk of missing important information.
It is the Client's responsibility to provide clear information so that we can find your preparation location. This must be communicated clearly in writing before the wedding date.
17.Health and Safety
Due to the 2019-2020 outbreak of COVID-19, Natalie is taking extra precautions with the care of every guest to ensure enhanced sanitation/disinfection procedures in accordance with local, national and international guidelines.
All tools, brushes, and other items will be fully sanitised before and after use.
It is the Client's responsibility to inform the Artist of any allergies, or past reactions before makeup application.
It is the Client's responsibility to check with their Bridal party prior to the wedding date, regarding any allergies and communicate this via email to the Makeup Artist before makeup application.
The Makeup Artist will always check verbally if the Bridal party have any allergies.
We reserve the right to refuse an application if any of the parties have contagious conditions or have flu like symptoms or a temperature.
In the interest of your personal health, safety, and well-being, and to that of the Artist and other clients, the following contraindications will prevent or restrict any client's application/styling; Eye infections; Conjunctivitis, viral infections; cold sores/facial herpes, open/weeping wounds, or sores, fungal infections; ringworm, etc. warts, cystic acne, severe sunburn or first degree burns, burns from facial waxing, Eczema, Psoriasis, Nits/ Head-lice, Scabies, or Impetigo, prior reaction, bruising, open cuts and flu like symptoms or a temperature.
The Makeup Artist holds no liability for any allergic reaction or injury resulting from the Makeup application.
The Makeup artist is not liable for any adverse reactions to products used and cannot be held liable for any losses that are incurred due to adverse reactions to products used. If the client or party requires a patch test for any products, this can be arranged and charged according to the agreed fee.
The Bride and Bridal Party must fully sanitise their hands before the appointment.
18.Artist Obligations
I, the Artist, shall provide services with the highest standard of skill and care.
The Makeup Artist will set up 15 minutes before the agreed start time.
Makeup provided to the client by Natalie is done using quality professional materials and quality sanitised makeup.
Every effort is taken to create a long-lasting look but the Makeup Artist makes no claims about the longevity of the look due to how the skin can react on the day due to weather, diet, personal skin care and skin prep done by the Client.
Should the Makeup Artist need to cancel your booking, we will notify you at the earliest opportunity and without liability. In the unlikely event of a cancellation, as much advance notice as possible will be given to the Client and every effort will be taken to find a replacement artist.
We strongly advise that all of our Clients obtain the relevant wedding insurance. It is your responsibility to protect yourself and purchase a wedding insurance policy prior to booking & securing deposits with your wedding venue and suppliers. Please notify us at this time if you have chosen to go against our guidance and not take out the necessary wedding insurance. Sadly occasionally things do go wrong and wedding insurance provides essential financial protection. Otherwise, you will be held fully responsible for any costs incurred and invoiced for this payment due despite the circumstances for cancellation or rearrangement.
19.Client Obligations
Makeup will be completed to the Client’s satisfaction, and acceptance of the completed makeup application is acknowledgement by the Client that the makeup is done to the Client’s satisfaction. This includes trials.
The Client agree's that in no event, and at no time during the appointment or at any time thereafter, shall they disparage, denigrate, slander, libel or otherwise defame the Makeup Artist's services, properties or assets, or employees, personnel, agents, or representatives.
You agree not to disparage or denigrate the Makeup Artist orally or in writing, and that neither you nor anyone acting on your behalf will publish, post, or otherwise release any material in written or electronic format, make speeches, gain interviews, or make public statements that mentioned the company, its operations, clients, employees, products, or services without the prior written consent of the company.
The Client agrees to treat the Makeup Artist and any associated third party with respect. The Makeup Artist reserves the right to refuse services to a Client or members of the Bridal party for, but not limited to, rudeness and any type of abusive, immoral, inappropriate and threatening behaviour.
If the Artist experiences unforeseen delays during the booking, which are out of their control, refunds will not be given. No refunds/compensation will be given in the event of delays caused by wedding party members, guests or vendors. Adequate time is allocated to every party member. If you suspect any member of the bridal party will pose a challenge to the timeline, they are encouraged to have a trial to avoid delays.
The Client shall reimburse the Makeup Artist on written demand for any costs or losses sustained or incurred by the Bridal Party in relation to kit and property.
The following are requirements Natalie will need in order to fulfil her obligation to said contract;

A “set-up” table where products can be laid out for specific services to be performed.

Ample lighting, either by means of natural light or by room lighting, it is necessary for such services to be performed properly.
I understand and agree to pay the non-refundable deposit to secure the appointment(s) for my bridal party and myself. I agree to pay the complete balance for my party as listed in this contract. I have read, understand and will comply with all policies as listed in this contract. I understand that no refunds will be given for members of the wedding party who miss their appointments on the day of the wedding. I also understand that I am responsible for balances from any members of my party who fail to provide payment. I am happy to go forward with this agreement.
